Assist. Prof. Dr. Rahim Zahedi is an Assistant Professor at the University of Tehran, specializing in energy systems engineering with expertise in renewable energy, life cycle assessment, energy optimization, and sustainable building-energy integration. He has contributed extensively to academia and industry through roles in teaching, research leadership, energy system laboratories, technical committees, and large-scale national sustainability initiatives, alongside overseeing patented technologies and directing an energy-focused company. His research spans hybrid multigeneration systems, carbon capture and utilization, life cycle assessment of renewable technologies, smart energy systems, and integrated water energy food environment nexus modeling, supported by more than one hundred peer-reviewed publications, book contributions, and numerous conference papers. Dr. Zahedi has earned prominent distinctions including the JTACC-V4 Young Scientist Award, the Alborz Prize, the National Renewable Energy Award, and several national rankings for academic and industrial excellence. He serves as Guest Editor and Editorial Board Member for multiple international journals and actively contributes to scientific communities through professional memberships, editorial service, and extensive peer review work.
