Prof. Abdulkhalik Jabbar Abdulridha | Structural Systems in Architecture | Research Excellence Award
Professor | Al-Nahrain University | Iraq
Prof. Abdulkhalik Jabbar Abdulridha is a Professor of Structural Engineering in the Civil Engineering Department at Al-Nahrain University, where he has served in progressive academic and engineering roles and contributed extensively to teaching, research, and departmental leadership. His expertise centers on reinforced concrete structures, structural strengthening, finite element modeling, and the behavior of structural systems under monotonic, cyclic, and repeated loading. He has led numerous analytical and experimental projects involving CFRP-strengthened reinforced concrete members, deep beams with web openings, RC slabs and columns, and multi-story steel and concrete structural systems, producing a substantial body of peer-reviewed publications in reputable international journals and conference series. His scholarly contributions include influential studies on cyclic behavior, strengthening techniques, and advanced numerical modeling, supporting innovation in structural safety and rehabilitation. Prof. Abdulridha has been recognized through multiple formal commendations from national higher-education authorities, university leadership, and academic deans for his academic excellence and service contributions, and he is an active member of the Iraqi Union of Engineers. His research impact includes 101 citations, 21 publications, and an h-index of 8.
